Col dell’Orso vineyard

A vineyard in Colbertaldo that we have been managing for a few years now. It is situated in one of the most highly-regarded spots in the area, with perfect southern exposure and an incredibly rocky, mineral-rich soil.

The vines are very old, characterized by the production of loose-bunched grapes with small berries—ideal for crafting structured, mineral-driven, and terroir-expressive wines.

The vines are trained using a combination of the Sylvoz and Doppio Capovolto systems. They climb the hillside, driving their roots deep into the morainic rock that outcrops everywhere. The conglomerate soil dominates the landscape, emerging in large, imposing ridges. It is a demanding vineyard to cultivate, yet it rewards us with profound emotions through the quality of its grapes.
